Meet Sam, a young man whose dream came true
Published on 24 April 2017
In Round one of 2015 Dreams for a Better World, Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV) were a finalist for their inspirational idea for an employment program to help people with Down syndrome work in their dream job. As a result of this exposure, many employers had contacted DSV to set up work placement programs.
One of the many recruited on the back of this, was a charming young man named Sam who had seen the video and asked his mum to help him put together a resume to work in his dream job at a football club.
We’re excited to now share with you, that with the help of DSV and the Sunsuper grant, Sam recently started his new job at Geelong Football Club. He hasn’t stopped smiling since!
