We caught up with Down Syndrome Victoria to find out how they’ve been putting their $10k grant to use. They also shared some advice to consider when submitting a dream and tips for getting votes.

Down Syndrome Victoria, the winners of the round 1 2015, have helped appoint another young adult with Down syndrome into their dream job.
Last year Women’s Legal Service Queensland provided phone advice to 1,557 women located throughout Queensland.
In Round one of 2015 Dreams for a Better World, Down Syndrome Victoria (DSV) were a finalist for their inspirational idea for an employment program to help people with Down syndrome work in their dream job. As a result of this exposure, many employers had contacted DSV to set up work placement programs.
We are delighted to announce that the new Women’s Legal Service Helpline was opened on 7 January 2016, thanks in part to the funding received through our Dreams for a Better World program.
To tie in with the relaunch of the Dreams for a Better World program in January 2015 we offered Sunsuper staff the opportunity to nominate charities they care about for the chance to win a grant. The winner was Orange Sky Laundry!
