Dreams come true for Active Eight
Published on 05 June 2019
The 2017 Dreams for a Better World Round One winner The Tippy Toe Co. hit another major milestone on Sunday 28 April 2019, when the team opened a new therapy hub for children with special needs in Toowong.
Under the new name, Active Eight, the team continues to grow and provide inclusive extra-curricular activities, like ninja warriors and dance, and speech and physical therapy to young people with special needs.
“Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World program provided the platform for Active Eight to dream big. Forging a strong relationship with Sunsuper’s leadership, staff and brand has put a roof over our heads, the paint on our walls and led to the creation of the Dreams Room that will inspire future members to dream big, just as we did. With endless thanks to the entire Sunsuper family.”

With help of Sunsuper’s $25,000 in grants and backing from Wesley Mission, Active Eight now has over 100 young people regularly attending its therapy and play sessions, and continues to have an enormous impact on Brisbane families.
Through its Dreams for a Better World program Sunsuper has continued to support the Brisbane-based not-for-profit; and to help launch their new hub Sunsuper’s Enterprise Change Executive, Danielle Mair opened the ‘Sunsuper Dreams Room’ – Active Eight’s new space for Occupational Therapy.
