Congratulations Homestead for Youth
Homestead for Youth was named Sunsuper’s Dreams for a Better World 2017 Grand Final winner at an event in Sydney on 14 December 2017.
With a $30,000 first place grant, Homestead for Youth will build shelters and upgrade equipment to expand their programs that change the lives of young people affected by abuse, trauma and mental illness.
For troubled young people and their families it is often difficult to get the right help to make a positive and lasting change. Homestead’s unique program allows troubled teenagers to nurture injured and rescued horses whilst getting professional support in a safe environment.
Founded by Carla and Marty in 2014 their programs have had lasting impacts on the lives of young people and their families. In 2017 they helped more than 200 families and with the $30,000 grant they plan to double their impact in the next 12 months.
